Adoption pain is visible….
It’s the birth father whose adult daughter rejects him.
It’s the doctor telling you you’re pregnant or that you’ll never be.
It’s the church council member secretly planning an abortion for his granddaughter.
It’s the birth mother leaving the hospital with empty arms, or leaving her baby on orphanage steps.
It’s adult adoptees being treated like children when seeking original birth certificates.
It’s the aged-out foster child sitting on a curb.
And, the list goes on.
Every manifestation of pain must be honored,
for none of us grieve alike,
nor do we need to grieve without Hope.
